Creative Walking in Past and Present Norwich

15 November @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Free

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Norwich’s medieval past with a captivating ‘Being Human’ festival event, led by professional actors bringing John Paston and Margery Brews vividly to life. Walk and talk with family members of the famous Paston Letters (including the woman who wrote the world’s earliest Valentine’s letter), as they share moving tales of passion, plague, and protest, guiding you through the city’s most historic corners—from Hungate Medieval Art and the cobbled charm of Elm Hill, to the Maid’s Head Hotel and the serene Cathedral Labyrinth. This free one-hour interactive performance promises a sensory journey through heritage and humanity—but places are limited.

There is an access audit on the Paston Footprints Norwich walk page, with pictorial overview (note, there are cobbled streets and this guided walk uses the short route): https://www.pastonfootprints.co.uk/norwichheritagewalk. If raining, you are welcome to bring a brolly. There are indoor as well as outdoors sites during the performance.

Professional actors, UEA, Norwich Cathedral, Hungate Medieval Art, Norfolk Libraries, and Uni. of Essex are hosting this free event.
