Songs For A Summer Night with Norwich’s Phoenix Male Voice Choir

22 July @ 7:30 pm

Let Phoenix’s singing men entertain you this evening in the tradition of the renowned male voice choirs with a variety of pieces from the great song books, easy listening and male choral standards.

Norwich’s Phoenix Male Voice Choir presents another evening of male voice choral and individual song when it offers ‘Songs for a Summer Night’ at its Mile Cross Norwich home base in the north of the city.

The programme features an easy-going mix of songs, several that are new this season to their repertoire and, of course, some of their more well-known choral standards, all in the 4-part harmony tradition of the famous mens’ choirs. It also includes the now customary solo contributions from within the Choir’s own singing ranks, and piano and organ solos from its accompanist.

The Choir is led as usual by long-standing Musical Director Sarah Grimes and Jason Lambert is the Choir Accompanist.

Supporting as its Charity of the Year for 2023 the work in Norfolk of Musical Keys (CIO 1151915), the Choir has arranged a raffle and a retiring bucket collection at the concert, the entire proceeds of which will be donated to this cause. We will hear more about the work of Musical Keys during the concert.

Starting at 7.30pm (doors open 7pm) and with refreshments during the interval break, an enjoyable and friendly evening of choral song and music is promised.  Tickets (£8) are now on sale from the Choir’s Website at: with admittance on the night for non-ticket holders from 7.00pm subject to capacity, all major debit and credit cards being accepted at the door.
