Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia, a leading housebuilder based in Norwich, has contributed £43.2 million to the UK economy by completing work on 328 new homes across East Anglia in the past financial year.
These achievements are highlighted in a recent report detailing the socio-economic impact of the developer’s operations between 1st July 2023 and 30th June 2024. During this period, homes were delivered across developments in Norfolk.
The report reveals the extent of the company’s contributions to local communities, public services, and the environment, alongside its support for the construction supply chain. Key highlights include:
• Job creation: Supporting 594 jobs directly and indirectly through contractors and suppliers.
• Local partnerships: Collaborating with 125 subcontractor companies and 173 suppliers.
• Green spaces: Establishing three hectares of green space for residents and the public to enjoy.
• Community funding: Contributing £300,000 via the Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 agreements.
• Community improvements: Investing £14.2 million in highways, affordable housing, environmental upgrades, and community facilities.
• Charitable giving: Donating £38,600 to charities through company contributions, employee fundraising, and supplier sponsorships.
