The family of biologist Professor Harriet Jones has developed the online game, Aggi’s Tiny Friends, as a continuation of their late mother’s pioneering work reconnecting children and young people with science. Autumn Senior developed the game as a response to the children’s science book, Aggi and the Mystic Boots, co-written by Autumn’s mother, Harriet. Begun in Harriet’s lifetime when she acted as its scientific advisor, the educational game has recently been completed by Autumn. The game will be showcased at Norwich Games Festival on 31 May 2025.
Autumn said “Most of us know nothing about the exciting microscopic world that exists in everything from puddles to oceans, but this game can make that accessible and fun. This is a game for all ages designed to replicate looking down a microscope and our whole family is happy that Aggi’s Tiny Friends continues our mother’s work, making science easy to understand and enjoy. With no content locked behind skills walls, Aggi’s Tiny Friends can be enjoyed by all budding scientists and as well as children and families new to science.”
Aggi’s Tiny Friends will be released via the Steam platform on 26 May 2025 for £3.99, and at the Norwich Games Festival where visitors can come and try it for free.
